things your kids say

4 year old used to say "commercianal" for commercial, and calls Wheaton Regional Park "Wheaton original park". He also insisted that Frosty the Snowman really is "Rasty the Snowman" (then DH and I imagined a rasta snowman).

my almost 3 year old daughter says something is "farawaraway". She also calls the movie "despicable me"= purple badamie.

My two year old daughter doesn't believe in using the first consonant in a word or phrase ("ankie" means blankie", "olly" means dolly"). The cutest one that's come out of her was her surprising recognition during our trip to Disney World of Disney's most famous character: Ickey Mouse!

Dd calls freckles, moles and pimples "nipples." "That lady has a lot of nipples!"

She pronounced f as sh when she was a toddler. One day we were in a waiting room and she was trying to put blocks into a shape sorter, but one got stuck. She became frustrated and tried to force it in, yelling "SHIT! SHIT!" She meant fit, but of course no one in the waiting room knew that.

My two year old equates all running with "hustle". Joggers go by and she'll say "good hustle!" She was saying that before she even knew the word "walk".

My daughter calls birds "tweet-tweet."

My daughter's name is Tess. I was really engrossed in my book as we were on the bus this evening. All of a sudden I heard her say "Attention Shoppers. Assistance needed in Aisle Tess please." Apparently she'd been calling my name and I wasn't hearing her.

"Looks like it will rain this day." 2.5yo He always says "this day" instead of today, and I love how he's taken to gazing out the window in the mornings to check the skies like a farmer.
