Daddy Long Leg spiders = Long Daddies
I will probably call them that in my head for the rest of my life!

Opameal for oatmeal
Lello for yellow (starting to outgrow this sadly) We get Indian food sometimes and she likes a dessert called gulab jamun which she calls gobble the moon. |
|
"my do it!" or getting a lot of "my need dat" lately.
A current favorite is "don't say 'oh my god', say 'oh my goodness'. Daddy say 'oh my god'" ---muttering to himself, usually around a sporting event which is when daddy is often found yelling at the tv. The New England Parrots are his favorite football team "popcorn" is Popsicles. |
| My oldest called roasted chicken "floppy chicken" when she was in preschool. That was 7-8 years ago and we still call it that. Sometimes I forget and say it around other people |
|
PP about daddy long legs reminded me, my 2.5 yo son asked "where the mommy long legs?"
He also says "I can't get compt-dur-dur." Which is "comfortable." |
|
Speaking of "sketti," when my 2 year old eats spaghetti noodles, he always likes to bring a noodle to my side of the table and I'll eat one end while he eats his end until we both meet in the middle and give each other a kiss.
He saw this in the cartoon " 101 Dalmations" and just loved it. |
My ds used to do this, so sweet! And the pp who mentioned comfortable, my ds used to say "conderful" so cute! |
This made me melt a little! How sweet! |
Thanks! At first I did know who she was talking about. "Sharon's milt (milk)", or "Sharon do it"...I was like who the heck is Sharon"? |
| "Let it doe, let it doe" |
*didn't know |
| My 21 month old calls chicken "cluck cluck." Not just the animal, but the food too. At dinner she says "I want cluck cluck." |
| When I was nursing the baby, the 2 y.o. used to call breast milk "mommy milk" but then DH sometimes gave her chocolate milk, which she called "daddy milk". Once they were in the middle of the grocery store and she screamed very loudy that she wanted some special "daddy milk." |
|
My 2.5 DD now starts stories with "So, Mommy..." like she's gossiping.
Yesterday it was "So, Mommy, at school today, we climbed on blocks and jumped over turtles. But not real turtles in the water." Me: "Oh, do you mean hurdles?" Her: "No! Turtles!" |
| Saying a woman looked ravished, rather than ravishing. |
