Colgate has fraternities and sororities, yes. But I would not call what's there a "big Greek scene." |
We will have to agree to disagree. I think Colgate is very Greek. |
This difference in rankings is insignificant and really means nothing. There are a few ties on the listing as well...and of course who the heck realy cares about the "rankings"? |
Yes. I am PP. That is what I said. I added that Greek life is a big feature at Colgate. And I think most people use the rankings. They are a useful data point. |
Then you've never been to a school that is actually "very Greek." |
Oh, you're right. That kind of rah, rah would be totally out of the question for me. But close to 75% of guys at Colgate are in frats. That's a significant Greek presence irrespective of school size. Frats aren't allowed at Colby. It means that the vibe is different. It might not matter at all to some, but to others it's a deal breaker. And it's an important difference between the two colleges. |
According to whom or what? |
Surely you can do your own research. But here you go. Scroll down. http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/colgate-university-2701 |
Oops. My bad. It is 27% |
And 36% of women are in sororities. |
Wow. |
It's all Greek to me.
|
Did they go on the common application? |
Things have changed since 1975. |
