I stole DH from his mother (I joked with him on the wedding day that she was going to try and retie the cord), I didn't give them a grandson, and I have a mind of my own... FIL abused and bullied MIL and DH and his sister growing up (kids were just bullied, not abused, MIL was hit on multiple occasions and he cheated on her a few times). I don't take FIL's crap, so I'm the issue apparently. They are very selfish individuals who try to buy DD's love. They wanted me to have a scheduled c-section so they wouldn't have to "Drop everything" to come down when I went into labor. We told them not to if they didn't want to (they did). I think they "want" to be good people, but they've been this way for so long... According to DH they are far better grandparents than parents, so I guess that's something.

When you have shitty in-laws I've found you really need to adjust your expectations - lower the bar.

How do you presume it isn't obvious, even with your poor denial? Just stop.

I know because I have been accused of being a mil on multiple occasions and I am not. So....just stop.
