Short guy here (5'7). I call bullshit on that one. I've been short my whole life. You know how it's affected me? Reduction in the dating pool. That's about it. How many women, skinny or otherwise, suffer from low self esteem due to airbrushed magazine covers and society's idea of what beauty is? No one beats me over the head with "be 6 feet tall." Dating an insecure overweight woman is way worse than dating a short guy.

My short 5-6 ex used to complain if I gained a teeny bit of weight. He wanted a perfect wife to match his mercedes, his ivy league degrees, and his georgetown townhouse. We were all his tiny trophies. Yuck.

i'm not sure i can blame women for height stuff anymore (i'm 5'8 guy)....the last 4 women i've dated were 5'7-6'-0 and i don't think i can go back to shorter women.

Maybe it's because a fat woman can always dream that she'll lose weight. Diet pills? Gastric bypass? Some new fad diet or exercise? What do short guys dream will make them taller?

I worked with two shorter guys 5'5, 5'6.

Some of huge most charismatic, successful, charming me on I've met in a long time, we were in our 20s then. If I was single I would have gone for them. They were single for yrrrrrss presumably bc of their height. I think they'll make amazing dads boyfriends and husbands.
