| I'm 5'3", therefore have no problem with dating short men. They're not "consolation prizes" for the undesirable. Nor are fat women. Plenty of attractive fat women and men who like them. |
Mom! You're embarrassing me! |
| They can develop their personalities and become nice and decent. |
Wow! Every guy I've ever dated has been taller than 6'0. I don't go out of my way to date them either. It may be race based since I know that AA and white men are taller than Hispanics or Asians? I'm a petite woman and men seem to like that. |

| Date the Dutch. They are the tallest men. |
Agreed. I'm 5'2" and most guys I've dated are 6'0 or taller. They aren't hard to find, so I don't believe the statistic. I doubt men in the DC area are just super tall. |
According to census data, 80% of men are under 6 ft tall. https://www.census.gov/compendia/statab/2012/tables/12s0209.pdf |

There is definitely a racial aspect. White guys -- like British/German/Irish white -- tend to be tall. Same with Black guys.
Being in DC, you probably see a lot of mostly white and AA folks. |
Plus Asian women and Latinas have fewer issues with dating short men. |
| Also, every guy who is between 5'10 and 6'0 is "6'0" |
+1 |
Yes, very frustrating when you are on the market and from a family of very tall men so you know what 6'0" looks like from your bare feet. That said, many women who are 145 claim to be 125. |
See the second post on this thread. It all works for the short, fat men if they're rich and successful. NYC and Hollywood money people, to name an obvious example. Heck even montgomery county schlubby developers. |
So you wouldn't date a guy who is 5'10? Why? |
