I think some short women hate being short and have a complex about it, so they deliberately seek out much taller guys. A few of my friends did this. Women like that drive tall women crazy because there are so few guys who are actually taller than we are, that it's annoying when a 5'0" chick is seeking out 6'2" dudes.

And some short women pick taller guys so their sons will be taller. Then they have kids and the boy is a shrimp and the girl is 5'10". Cracks me up.

Should I an inch to my height?

I am exactly six feet tall, and virtually all men who are 1-2 inches shorter than me say that they are 6 feet. Anyone my height claims to be 6'2". I know a guy who claims to be 6'3", though I would bet good money that he is not even 6'2".

I wonder if I should be 6'1" to account for height inflation?

Who hates being short? It can be inconvenient, but it's otherwise fine. I don't think I've never met a woman who says she hates being short.

My friend's husband is shorter than both her and me (I'm a little over 5'4", she's probably 5'8", and he's probably 5'3"?), and I totally would have dated him. I still have a wee bit of a crush!

I'm huge. I prefer really tall men because I feel small and dainty. I don't date fat men because it's like mission impossible. What the fuck are we going to do? Bump bellies? We are better off watching Netflix and eating a bucket of chicken together.

Then you have never had to climb onto a kitchen counter to reach the top shelf in your cabinets. At 5'5", I am the second tallest of my girl cousins. Every other girl is below 5'1".
