"Beautiful" people who you think are overrated? kind of a S/O

Put your hanky away. The whole thread is about who you think is not "beautiful" though they are commonly described as such. It doesn't mean they're not deserving of a career or success.

There are tons of rather ordinary but really great famous people out there. But if people were to start fawning over, say, Kevin Spacey for his "hotness" - I would simply disagree. I'm not slamming the celeb, I just don't value them for their looks and I don't really get why some people are swooning over them. That's all.

How about all those anonymous celebrities we forget about. How about every Victoria's Secret chick, every Calvin Klein dude, every unknown model plastered on billboards and in magazines and commercials all over the world...they're all overrated. Why? Because they're the commercialized concept of marketing agencies and fashion photographers - some select "chosen few" who get to decide what the standard of beauty is in order to pitch their products on the public. Fuck them!!

You have to understand that some people have so overused the word "troll" that their posts are ignored. Calling any and everything they disagree with by charging troll is the only thing they can contribute to the conversation. Forget about her.
