Scour the internet? It was top news on CNN.com this morning. You know...a typically liberal news source. |

No justification, this was bad. The school did a horrible job protecting this teen. Usually schools take drug possession very seriously, so I wonder if it was investigated and shown not to be true?
Snitching usually involves a beat-down (and even murder). This is not a new concept. I think the school failed this teen greatly in not protecting his identity and/or ensuring that he safely made it home. Those foaming at the mouth to call this a hate crime need to shut the hell up. There's no proof of this and insisting it is so is won't make it true. BTW, what do you all think about these upstanding white boys in Fairfax delivering this beating? I don't remember anyone running to post it here: http://www.wjla.com/articles/2013/07/fairfax-assault-captured-on-tape-92083.html |
This has nothing to do with race! This is the sad reality of bullying. The remark about our President is poor taste. |
+1 You can't talk to idiots. |
If that was true, they would have filed a hate crime charge against Zimmerman. Oh wait, but they didn't do that. |
|
Look - They may have beaten the kid for one reason, but I bet if you questioned those three boys, you'd find a lot of anger and resentment against that WHITE boy.
This shit runs deep. |
Wrong....sorry to break it to you, but teenage boys aren't real "deep". This goes no deeper than them kicking the ass of someone who tried to get them in trouble. Had the boy been black/Asian/something else, the same beat down would have occurred. |

"snitches get stitches." No, I never really knew that. And it'sad that folks do, and uphold it. As this thread points out,
That's how drug dealers work. That's how the mob works. Great folks, great. Just keep repeating the saying, and keep beating snitches. Can we say it's an SES thing instead of a racist thing? From my view, mobsters and drug dealers have similar SES. |
How does acknowledging a phenomenon equal condoning it? Reading, and reading comprehension, is fundamental. And if you think drug dealers and mobsters have similar SES, you're crazy. Please re-enter your bubble. |
+1 and on AA. That poor kid and the driver could've called 911 |
| That could have been B.O. 35 years ago... |
|
I like my bubble. Democratic law rules the day. People in my bubble aren't afraid to call out bad behavior. Bad behavior gets corrected or punished.
You can't say something catchy and clear (a good marketing slogan) like "snitches get stitches" and not expect the message to stick. Please clarify how mobsters and drug dealers are in different SES. |
| Matt Gross was hit in the back of the head with baseball bat by James Woods at Dorsey High in Los Angeles c.1960. He was severely injured. I saw another kid stomped in the locker room, same HS, c 1959. I was jumped and punched at L.A. High in summer of 1959. My bike was stolen...when I caught the (about 10) year old kid, he pulled out a jack knife, unfolded and pointed it at me before walking away. I was confronted and demanded to give up my $$ at least a couple times at high school. It was a very scary environment at times. I drove a Yellow Cab in LA in the mid 60's. Word was, don't pick up in Watts or South Central. Cabbies were robbed, shot and killed from time to time. Except for unknown perps in cab incidents, all black on white, all true. I am not racist... I admire many blacks...most are decent as anyone.. but I'm sick of the political correctness and one way white only racist commentary. |
| BTW, Hate crime status is discriminatory: two different people are brutally murdered or assaulted in identical ways. One is determined to be a hate crime, the other is not. Mystically, one victim's attacker is considered less evil than the other and given a break. Another PC driven miscarriage of justice. |
| Wow this thread has brought out the real crazies |
