S/O why do Americans shower in the morning?

We waste a lot of respurces in this country just to avoid the slightest smell. It just further reflexts on the selfish and entitled nature of people in this country. I imagine it wont last forever.

My husband was one of five kids and showered at night because there wasn't time for everyone to shower un the morning, and he's kept the habit. I like showering at night because it helps me relax before bed.

A shower helps wake me up.

I don't like to go to bed with wet hair, and I don't blow dry.

I wear my hair curly, and it is best when styled in the morning rather than slept on.

Agreed, and I hope not.

I mean, I assume your sheets are clean (well they aren't anymore if you go to bed without showering first, but they would be if you did shower in the evenings) so why do you think you get so dirty at night that you need to shower in the morning? Unless you have night sweats or messy sex at night, why shower in the morning rather than evening? I like showering before bed because I'm still clean for the next day (unless I have sweats) and it feels better going to bed that way.

In my American home, my kids and I shower at night.

Same here.

I shower in the morning and wash my hair and then just shower at night to feel clean before bed.

I have curly hair and if I shower at night I wake up with crazy hair not suitable for public. Also, I feel like its nice to feel fresh and ready for the day with a shower. I also often shower before bed to decompress/relax.

I shower in the morning after I workout. If I showered at night I think I'd still feel the need to freshen up with a shower in the morning probably just out of habit.

All of my kids shower at night. Two of them have bad dust allergies and were encouraged by their doctors to wash themselves before going to bed. Another is active in sports.

Me, I shower in the morning because I suffer from terrible night sweats.

My husband mixes it up and showers either at bedtime or in the morning with no clear preference.

I think it is a courtesy to oir fellow humans to remain BO free. Even at the gym people have good hygiene and wear deodorant as to make sure not to cause othersto vomit. It Iis rare that at the gym I encounter a smelly armpit. For that I am grateful.
