Is there anyone out there who didn't get letter in mail today? Knowing our luck with getting FAT scores, we'll be the last to find out here in lowly Reston. |
What is in the not eligible letter? Does it mention the kid will be eligible for level 3 service? |
A WISC on appeal seems to have more weight than in original packet. I wouldn't wait. Plus in your DC's case, the only low score would be the GBRS (I'm assuming that's the only reason your DC didn't get in) so a WISC in the 130s should override GBRS. |
fxat 70, gbrs 11 what else can i submit? we already did wisc. |
No drama opening the letter, because I could see the edge of the blue form through the address window (and knew this meant acceptance):
NNAT 126 FxAT overall 89 (verbal 99; quant 73, nonverbal 73) GBRS 12 Parent referred (not in pool) with WISC Full Scale of 137 (with VCI of 146). Good luck everyone. |
NNAT 143, FxAt 99%, GBRS unknown, in |
NNAT 99% (135), FxAT 83%, GBRS 13 - not eligible.
all 4's in the report card...very disappointed. Getting ready to appeal. |
Ok for run of the mill, but I would go to an experienced person over a student with very little experience (even if they are well supervised) if there is any indication of something complex. |
Since your kid didn't pass the cut off, you do it by parent referral? |
Insane! Those are such good scores. Do you know the GBRS??? Screening file should have indicated that English was not the first language. |
DC got accepted and our form is yellow instead of blue. |
For private psychologist with lots of experience, including specific experience with AAP, I recommend Dr. Diana Dahlgren in Fairfax, www.drdianadahlgren.com. |
Eligible!!
NNAT 99%, 139. FAT 90%. GBRS 13. Core all 4's. except in Language arerts (3's and 4's) |
I thought you weren't supposed to get more than one WISC a year. |
I second this recommendation! |
