Yes, just received letter. NNAT 135, FAT 96%, not in.
My DC is very average in school. We are not sure whether we should appeal or not.

Wow, your child's scores sound so good. I would appeal with WISC if you think DC might do better in AAP or the same. Do you know GBRS? Good WISC should overcome mediocre GBRS.

I am contacting the psychologists now. Any recommendations?
I don't know the GBRS. My DC makes alot of mistakes in school work. But DC does very very well with challenging math problems needing multiple steps.

I don't think the other scores are relevant, as PP kid obviously scored high on the aforementioned.

Get the package from school.

I recommend George Mason. They are very good. The fact that they are in a university setting gives confidence in the results.

120 NNAT, 99% FAT, don't know the GBRS, in.

This is discouraging! I heard that wisc 133 is a sure bet before... My DC is also not in (nnat 135, tat 96%) and I am thinking of wisc. For my DC's ability, I guess the wisc in the range of 130-135 is very possible. So DC will still have trouble getting in...
Maybe we should wait one more year for DC to mature? BTW, DC has a summer birthday.

Hearing of the rejections, I don't think we will get in.

WTF, how does the cmte decide who gets in and who does not The scores look similar; 1 high test score and GBRS 11+ and some are in and some are not. I say APPEAL to everyone whose kid was in the pool and not accepted. I know I am appealing...98 on the NNAT, and 11 GBRS, 64 FxAT, and all 4s, with only two 3s on report card. What gives?

I thought almost everyone who passed the cut off has very high chance to get in. It doesn't look like the case now.

One rule of thumb for times like this: Why trust an anonymous forum?

NNAT 133, FxCogat 74%, mostly 3s report card, unknown GBRS. Not in.

All you folks out there, when you post fxat score is it the composite or highest of the three parts? I heard only the highest is taken of the three areas?

PP, do you mind saying where the WISC 133 was done? I wonder if it makes a difference whether it was from GMU or private psychologist?

NNAT 130, 86 FAT, 16 GBRS, all 4's on Report - IN
Anonymous
155 NNAT, 99% FAT: DC rejected. Not overly surprised because DC is shy, does not participate in class and report card has 3s and 2s. Also English is not first language.
