Trying the Americans right now, but not sold on it.

Do not speak ill of Felicity, the Russian spy.

LOVED Felicity!! Loyal to Kerri Russel for life. But not yet sold on this show.

I only saw half of the first episode but I had a rough time dealing with a show taking place in the early 80's when Keri Russel's natural hair is PERFECT 80's hair and yet she still straightens it for the show. Yes, this is what I fixated on.

Not loving it either.

I surprising got over the fact that Felicity is now KGB, and think Keri Russell looks great in Americans, but I wish the couple were double agents. Maybe that will come but I don't like rooting for team KGB. And I don't think the show's done anything to make us feel any sort of sympathy toward them (except hiring actors we like).

NP here. I love, love, LOVE the AMericans so much. OMG, it's like my two favorite 90s shows -- Felicity and Alias -- got mashed together. I think the way that Elizabeth and Phillip are with their kids is meant to help us feel sympathetic for them, as is Elizabeth's new love for Phillip. God, I love this show. The only other show I watch on tv anymore is Mad Men. Um... and the REal Housewives shows.... :shame:

Alias and felicity were both jj Abrams shows. Alias started as a joke about felicity getting out of college and joining the CIA. Jennifer Garner was Noel's girlfriend the first season.

Yup, I know way too much about this.

You didn't feel sympathetic towards Elizabeth when you found out the guy in their trunk raped her?

And then her hubby killed the dude...

You need to watch the Carrie Diaries, where AnnaSophia Robb's hair is crazy curly '80s hair, a perfect lead in to Sarah Jessica Parker's do on Sex and the City.

Anything on FX. Sons of Anarchy and Justified (start at the beginning). Have a few Americans episodes piling up in the DVR.
