My neighbor just had her 6th at age 46. Devout Catholic, no ART. Nothing has slowed her down! She is amazing with all those kids (all boys). I see her play basketball in their driveway most nights, and they hike and bike most weekends.

Posters who write posts about "older' moms being tired are just projecting their lazy selves.

it would depend on the individual. some people are fit at 70, others are not.

You might be 'fit' at 70 but you're still old. Too old to have a child in middle school.

The kind of people who do this do not GAF about the type of mom who says "you're too old to have a kid in middle school." Many grandparents raise their grandkids, too. People in these situations consider all the factors, and make their decisions based on them. You can't know what goes into it. Focus on the beam in your own eye.

You will be an old lady when your child is in his or her 20's if not already dead. Anyone who has a child so late in life is not thinking about the future of that child at all. Also, while it would be ideal to have a living parent as long as possible, I'd still think the child would prefer to have been born.

that is absolutely absurd. and in some cases 50 year olds can have the health of 30 year olds and morbidly obese 20 year olds the health of not quite healthy 50 year olds.

I have hardly ever heard such a thing said of men. Why are women vilified so much more for the same things men do? Dating younger, TTC at later age, giving their career more importance, putting themselves first?
