Come on, lay off of her, she's apologized and explained several times already. |
| I grew up always having lit candles on the table, even if we were having sandwiches or cereal for dinner. My mom used silver candlesticks she got for her wedding. I had seen years ago a very different sort of silver candlestick at an art gallery, and had fallen in love with it--it both reminded me of those family dinners and was a very different sort of look. I seriously used to go to the gallery just to look at it. It was ridiculously expensive, so I didn't buy it, but that was my parents' gift to us. We now use it every day. Our kids love being grown up and having candlelight dinners, and they comment when the candles are too short to use and haven't been replaced. (I have also given silver candlesticks to very close friends for weddings.) |
