Florida went Dem in 2008 and with Ryan on record about slashing entitlements, they are not going to vote for Romney.

Watch the video.

She has single-handedly renewed our relationship with the world, so I'm very glad she's been at State. As POTUS, I think she would have taken a harder line with Congress in passing economic recovery measures, but I also think the Tea Party would not have been as much a factor, since I firmly believe they're mainly a reaction to the First Black President.

I agree she's been a great SOS. I think she would have been wasted in the WH. She's come out of the 2008 election as the ultimate winner.

I don't think there's any doubt about it. Biden seems very personable, a great dad and husband, and the kind of guy who would be fun at a party or sitting around watching a ball game with several couples. Tells a great joke but no match for Ryan.

Unless he's thoroughly trashed over the next 4 months. He'll have the youth edge over Hillary, but she's still got my vote.

I really wish we would have elected Hillary in 2008. A big mistake.

Really? I like her, but I don't think she could have done any better.

I keep reading this comment a lot on DCUM. The people I know who are fans of the Tea Party are not against Obama because of race at all; rather, they're all very upset over the economy and taxes. They view Obama as someone who doesn't get the challenges of running a small business.

You're forgetting that Ryan has to actually answer questions about his policies. And Biden will be ready to call him on his constant lies.

What has Obama done that hurts small business?

wink wink, nudge nudge.

It's not cool to be overtly racist. It's much cooler to say things like, "Oh no we are just trying to protect the integrity of the election, it has NOTHING to do with the race of the voters who JUST SO HAPPEN to be black and less likely to have a govt ID. Oh yeah and coincidentally more likely to vote for O.

What did small business want that it did not get? They expanded the SBA programs, created a $30 billion loan facility to encourage private bank lending to small businesses, another $15 billion to state small business programs, eliminated capital gains on small business investments, they created a raft of accelerated depreciation and writeoff giveaways, allowed self employed people to deduct health insurance costs, more tax credits, and they changed IRS penalties to favor small businesses.

What exactly did they not get???

PP here. No, you're wrong. It's not wink, wink, nudge, nudge. I live in a large southern city and work with these people. They're transplants from NY, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey; and they're very upset about taxes.

Biden hasn't remained in office for 40 years by being a complete idiot. Trust me, he can debate with the best of them. And will be happy to call Ryan on his crap. I was so sad that he was coached NOT to destroy Palin in 2008 - a damn shame. I've watched him verbally whip the shit out of someone - Yes, in person. He has foot-in-mouth disease sometimes, but in debate? Do NOT mess with Joe.

So they want to elect Romney/Ryan and pay $2,000 more?

Oh, I don't think he's stupid at all. I'm also aware of where he went to college and that he has a law degree. Still don't think he's a match for Ryan, but I'll enjoy watching and maybe I'll see otherwise.

I think people are over-estimating Ryan's ability. Biden's used to the national stage, to debates, etc. Ryan's already shown he's not a home run with that Iowa appearance. My money is on Biden to school him.
Anonymous
He's been chairman of judiciary and senate foreign relations committees. Biden can hack it against a policy analyst who has only been in the public eye for a few years. And the deck is stacked against Ryan because he has to defend himself, his voting record, and his plan. Biden can't really be personally attacked in the debate.

Im a Dem and have said all along I think the Ryan pick is solid. Republicans though are giving way too much credit to Ryan in thinking he's somehow going to whoop bidens tail in the debate.

First, Ryan has never been on a large stage where the spotlight is all on him to defend his record and what he will do with romney. Second, joe biden may gaffe the hell up but hes been in enough debates by now that to think this is his weak point is absurd. finally, at best biden wins by sliver or its even. no way is ryan going to beat biden down.
