| My children (19 and 21) when speaking to me over the phone and in-person use Mommy. I think they avoid addressing me around their peers. Also, use my first name when being silly. |
| Who cares? Mine has always called me mom. |
My parents died when I was 21 and I still called them Mommy and Daddy. Now, when I speak about them, I still refer to them as this (I'm not 46). My DD who is 15 still calls me Mommy. I love it!! |

| Funny, just has this conversation with my 13 year old, who has taken to using my first name when trying to catch my attention. I asked him why (I don't mind, just curious) and he feels weird calling out "mommy" but doesn't want to use "mom" either. My 11 year old daughter also calls me mommy. Fine with me. My parents have always been mom and pop. |

My kids have always called me "Ma" , "Mumma" or "Mom"
|
| Still call my mom "mommy" as an adult. Generally not in front of others, but definitely I call her that daily. |
Exactly. Hope my dear child will call me mommy or momma forever! |
| One stopped around 5. The other still calls me Mommy at 11. |
| My 3 and 6yo call me either mommy or mama, but 6 yo calls refers to me as mom to others. Both call DH daddy or Dada. |
| My ds 21, dds 19, and 15 still all call me mommy and their father daddy. At 48, my parents are mother, and daddy |
| My 4yo calls me Mama or Mommy. We've both noticed that books are starting to refer to mothers as Mom not Mommy, but we've both said to each other that we like Mama or Mommy and not Mom right now. |
| If you are the parent do you have the right to tell your kids what they will, or won't, call you? (I mean, I hate "Mom" as a name for me- can I say don't call me that?)? |
