6 year old still does. 9.5 year old switched me to mom at some point in the last year (maybe coinciding with going back to school after the summer, but I'm not sure). It kills me, but I respect it and have stopped signing any notes I leave her as Mommy.
I don't know any adults who call their mothers Mommy, but I do know a few - all Southern - who call their fathers Daddy. In their voice and accent, it sounds lovely. As a Yank, I couldn't pull it off. |

| When speaking directly to them, I call my mother, "mother" and my father, "daddy". Sort of speaks to the relationship I have with each (i.e. my mother and I aren't very close, but I'm very close with my father). |
