My 3.5 year old son has stopped calling me "mommy." And for whatever reason has dropped "Grandma" and started calling her "Grandmother." I have no idea where he picked these up from as his school friends still seem to use "Mommy."

I'm 33, my little brother is 30. He still goes with Mommy, I go back and forth between Mom/Mommy. I think I use Mommy more when I'm being a wiseass.

I call my mother "mama" but reference her as "mommy" to my sisters and "my mom" to other people...anyone else? I am 42, so when I am on the phone with one of my sisters you will hear me say "mommy", which can sound weird I guess but didn't noticed until I read DCUM
