What makes a man a unmanly...

Men who wear turtlenecks - especially white ones...

Yes, they most certainly do exist. I am married to one!!

A real man is a good father, helps around the house without being asked, plays with his children and enjoys it, is an equal partner with his spouse, competent at his job, but isn't a workaholic. Any man who isn't all of these things is not "manly" to me.

turtlenecks -- so true. I also HATE jean shorts on a guy. What about men wearing capri pants -- manpris? And men in those close-toed sandals. Ew.

What if they are from a different culture like maybe European where it's ok to where that kind of stuff?

since we're talking style, how do I get my DH out of his white athletic socks that come half way up his calves (complete with baggy -- but not hip-hop baggy, nerd baggy -- shorts?) I don't want him to wear sandals, but aren't guys wearing shorter socks these days?

Every time this thread comes up to the top of the Recent Posts, I shudder at how sexist (and at times homophobic) it is. I just needed to say that because, if this were about women, I'd be calling you all out big time. So consider yourselves called out.

You are so right. If this thread were about women, it would be deleted for "nastiness", or something to that effect.

I was the first to post (not the OP, the first post). I agree. I don't even like the words manly or womanly for that reason.

Or use it as a way to find a loose woman to screw that night.

Oooh! Loose woman. Now there's a loaded phrase. Esp, in a thread about gender stereotypes.

Please discuss.
