Cookie Exchange - Can anyone suggest an easy, but great-tasting cookie I can take?

Think that bars (specifically Samoa bars) are ok for cookie exchange? I have my first this year so I'm a little clueless. Thanks!

If they taste anything like the Girl Scout cookies then HELL YES!! And post the recipe, please.

Haven't tried it yet - might do a test batch in advance to think through some if the suggestions in the comments:

OMG. Did you really say that?

i don't even understand her post-who is she asking?

I think it is an ironic comment on the fact that rugelach are cookies associated with Jewish tradition, hence the Yiddish name!

FYI, everyone: OP said she needed to make 5 dozen cookies for a cookies exchange; she never said the cookie exchange was for Christmas. Anyone who assumes these have to be Christmas cookies is narrow-minded.
