I am not sure how to use insurance websites to look up doctors, does that mean I am a swinger and should be on active leg syndrome meds?

DID YOU ACTUALLY READ THE OP YOU DUNCE?

I am moving to DC from Southern Alabama & am wondering what the commute would be like from Capital Hill to Capital Hill. I would like to find a 1 bedroom condo for myself, my husband and 6 kids for under 3 mil. Also, can you tell me what school there would be best for my middle child--to be specific, he has brown hair and is interested in trains--no any schools that would fit his specific needs that have the teacher that would ideal for him since you all know him so well now?

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU! WHY DON"T YOU CALL YOUR DOCTOR INSTEAD OF POSTING HERE! HOW CAN SOME PEOPLE BE SO STUPID!!!!!!!

Stop yelling at me, and could you give me the name of your doctor? Does he take blue cross?

No, he doesn't take Blue Cross but he vaccinates on an alternative schedule. Last time I was there he chuckled about how doctors are going to be a thing of the past since the DCUM site launched. He is amazed at my medical knowledge, esp. when I mentioned to him that it really isn't necessary to vaccinate, unless you are going to public school in DC and it is perfectly acceptable to drink while pregnant and breastfeeding. Boy, did he feel dumb!

I really don't think it's funny to joke about these types of things. You women were obviously all formula fed.

The invitation my DC received, said "and guest", for a cool grand, your child can still go.

OP, have you tried the DCUM website to find your answers? It's a wealth of knowledge.

Yes, but it was organic. No, no the one with corn syrup, the other one, made from pure, raw, fair-trade cane sugar and blessed by the pope.

Um, if you don't plan to send your child to Beauvoir, will you please let them know RIGHT NOW? Some of us on the waitlist would like to know if we stand a chance of getting Junior in and if you're holding a spot, you really should let it go for our sake.

Also, my nanny sometimes sits down when she is at our house--sometimes to eat lunch, sometimes just because the kids are napping! I am shocked and I'm not sure what to do. Should I dock her pay for every minute she's seated? I expect her to be up and on her feet at all times...unless she's driving a vehicle in which my kids are properly strapped.

That really is too bad for you because my DS LOVES getting dressed up and learning about etiquette and dancing!

I have a job in mind but don't know what to call this position? The ideal person would take care of my 3 mo. old twins and 3 year old, plus 3 other children under the age of 5 in a nanny share situation -- 7:30 a.m. to 7 pm. Unless we're late, which we are. Then it's later.

But several of these six infant/toddlers nap sometimes, and so I'm thinking that Nanny could make herself useful during naps by, it goes without saying, doing the children's laundry, switching out six sets of clothes and toys, and doing all the dishes related to the six of them. Plus me and my husband.

What I was also wondering is, do you ever have Nanny mow the lawn and edge the grass while the babies -- who are the most important job, I'll tell her -- sit in their high chairs with Cheerios? On days that the lawn is fine, I was also thinking of having her take all the kids with her in her iffy car to the grocery store, because that would help me a lot.

I've never actually taken my own babies with me to the grocery store myself, but I imagine it's pretty easy and so I was thinking of not paying Nanny to do this extra thing. Same for the lawn. And the oil change. And then I was thinking if she didn't want to do any of these things -- which is fine -- I could cut back her pay approx. $2 an hour (which would take it down to $13 an hour for six kids, some of whom WILL be napping).

Does this sound right? Am I missing anything?

Your DS? Maybe he can partner up with my husband. DH got an invite and now I'm worried he is having an affair. WHY after so many years does he want to learn how to ballroom dance and use tableware properly? There must be another person in his life.

Would you suggest checking his email, listening to his voice mail or hiring a hot, young, black girl to seduce him?

My DD sits perfectly through dinners at restaurants and uses her utensils to eat (she's 10 months old) AND she always sleeps through every flight when she is not involved in polite conversation with other passengers - if she did anything less I would kick her off the plane myself and tell her to hitch a ride home.

Enough! I am going to IM Jsteel because this thread is not helping anyone. Its also does not pertain to parenting, so it needs to be moved to the off topic forum. Now can we all get back on topic, I need advice on how to stop my nipples from hurting because my 42 month old is biting them while feeding. I don't want to stop BF though because I don't think he's old enough for food yet.
