What's the most embarassing food you still eat?

In our house, beef jerky is enjoyed by all family members, including our 4 and 5 year old kids. I'm sure they would adore slim jims, but I have held off.

Alot of ppl think egg salad is for babies....i bring it for lunch and I hear it alot. I love it! Maybe my co-workers are all assholes. HA

I see kids at school (teacher) eat them w/school lunches and i just CRAVE them. i got one kid to give me one, once. I was thinking they were just potatoes but once i read the package and EEEwwwwww. I eat mac and cheese and hotdogs now that i'm a mom (solidarity!) but it's all pure and organic and all that crap. Takes the fun out of it.

If you need a Tater Tot fix, make a pilgrimage down to the Sonic drive-in in Fredericksburg. Best tots ever. And the slushies are great too!

I think there is a Sonic in Annapolis now, too.

Throwback Pepsi is the best. DH is from Texas and he loves the throwback Dr. Pepper. The throwback sodas taste like they did when we were kids, before corn syrup ruined everything!

When did they stop using sugar?

Whenever they started using high fructose corn syrup in everything. The real sugar sodas taste so much better.

Oh, I couldn't leave this alone, some time around 1982 is when they started using HFCS.

Actually, PP, trader joe's tater tots are fabulous. I buy them every once in awhile and my insane kids don't like them so I end up eating them all.

Yes, they are. Egg salad on rye is a kick-ass sandwich to be proud of.

I love McDonald's Filet o Fish too. I love Coke... with a passion. I also love Cheez Doodles, not Cheetos (an aficionado knows the difference). I'm from western NY so I also enjoy beef on weck, cheese curd, salt potatoes and birch beer. But I try to keep all of the above to a few times a year max. I'm not winning that battle with Coke. A Coke with crushed ice is heaven.

Fried spam and cheese sandwich-I would never feed that crap to my kids, but I crave it now and then.
Banana sandwhich with mayo on white bread.
Ho hos or any other cake and cream (lard, actually) combo.
BBQ ruffled chips

If you couldn't tell, I still have a little Alabama redneck in me that just wont go away!

I agree with the poster that said Pizza Rolls! I will add to that a Tostino pepporoni pizza is my absolute favorite "bad" food.
My husband travels two nights a month for work and this is our dinner when he is away.

BUT, I totally love kraft macaroni and cheese and eat it about once every 4-6 weeks. I would be embarrassed to admit this to my real life friends. Anyone else having an embarrassing food they ate in childhood that they haven't gotten out of their diet?

Mmm... I love Kraft mac and cheese. But what I really love is to refrigerate the leftovers and eat them cold for breakfast the next day!

But spaghettios? THAT'S something you need to eat in the privacy of your own home, and remove the label before recycling the can. I like the kind with the little "meat"balls!

Hahaha, PP, I was the Spaghettios poster. Heh, I like that. When I plunk a can or two in my shopping cart/basket, I can't help feeling embarrassed at the checkout, putting them onto the aisle. Maybe I should try the self-checkout for those ones next time, huh! Heh. And, yeah, I don't mind the "meat" balls sometimes, but I prefer the variety without. Ahhhh, gotta love those cheesy/tomato-y "Os" ....
