By reading these comments it confirms what I have been suspecting all along, that these so call caregivers Dr? Lee/Larrisa are two shady individual that are taking advantage not only of the parents that feed their mouth, but the staff that works for them as well, soon you will find out why I say they are shady individuals. I have been observing them DAILY.

I live in the neighborhood and was contacted by someone who has their kid there now asking me about other options. Just saying....

can someone tell me what happened to Senses on 16th St?

Current parent here. Senses is now on Colorado ave about 1 block away. Lots of craziness on here and a lot of accusations without much detail. Is it a perfect place? No. Do I really like the teachers? Yes. Does my DS? Yes. He's excited when he arrives, he lunges for his teachers arms and he's a giggling exhausted boy when I pick him up. There are things I wish were better but I'm happy enough to still be there.

As do I. Am considering using the center, but so many red flags. It's one thing to see one or two negative posts, but it appears there are continually negative posts.

**FORMER PARENT- with first hand knowledge and facts** Since opening their doors in DC this center has had continuous turnovers with their staff, including three directors, and constant changes to their (non-certified) caregivers. I would asolutely recommend AGAINST this place. The school continues to be plagued by allegations from former and current employees and parents! Far too many flags to ignore..

PP... Current parent here. I don't know what you are referring to... There has only been one change that I know about (been with them since the almost start.) I've also had the same main teacher the entire time. I'd agree that there has been some turn over but I definitely don't think it's been a revolving door.

I'd be happy to hear the specifics of your comments. I feel happy having my DC here and then I get very confused when I read these comments. Probably the one thing I dislike the most about this forum... The anonomity makes me wonder if this is one person with an axe to grind or if I really am that blind to my child receiving terrible care.

I am not the person who wrote the above but instead a former parent. I am in no way judging your parenting skills but level of care is relative to the individual. What your willing to put up with is on an individual basis but i do know what the prior person was talking about. I've been with Senses since about the beginning as well. Since then, we've lost the latin american guy who was the "admin asst" in the office as well as two hispanic teachers who was there from the beginning, Ms. Carla, Ms. Ruby, Ms. Bridgette, Ms. Sowers, there was another lady in the toddler room, and a number of aids that have left from the main big room whom you never get to know because they're gone that fast, not to mention the amount of families that have come and gone. Some you don't realize have left until after a few weeks later and when you ask about them, you're told that they'll be back. The only constant people are Ms. Alem, Ms. Jane, and Ms. Vera and maybe Ms. Renee and Ms. Eustache in the infant room.

Let's talk about the lunch program. If your child is able to speak, please ask your child what they ate today.

Since leaving, my child has exponentially grown in academics, confidence, vocabulary, etc. and is so much happier.

I just came across this thread. I have my son at this daycare and we love it. The staff has been great, they genuinely seem to love my baby, and he's always happy to see Dr. Lee and Ms. Fernie, etc etc. But this is making me nervous. We haven't been there that long - are there other current parents at this day care on the list? Are you happy there? Do you have concerns?

I am a parent and I am currently very apprehensive about recommending the center to any of my friends because this daycare seems to be plague with staff turnover. Job satisfaction is negatively correlated with job stress and turnover. So in my opinion if the staff is unhappy it may have negative effects, in that unhappy staff may transfer negative emotion to the children. I believe that teacher satisfaction is a key element in providing high quality care to children. My advice is that if you are thinking about enrolling you child do your homework and research this center a little closer, gather as much information as you can. Inquire at the office for the name of the owner who holds the license. Ask to see licensing certificates. Also a license in itself does not ensure that a facility is good, but not having up to date credentials is a strong sign you should consider somewhere or someone else. I should have done some of this homework myself, but at the time when I registered my child I was impressed with their online curriculum and the positive comments, but since then it seem that things have gone downhill. I hope this helps.

We are current parents
And are presently looking for other options ASAP. Inconsistency, lies and misrepresentations abound. We no longer feel that our dc is safe or well cared for.

This daycare does not have a license nor does it have a curriculum. I too wished I had seen this forum prior to enrolling my child. I don't know how this place is still in business. I pray that you current parents find some where safe for your kids.

I agree, I have been told several lies about how well they care for my child, but found out that they really don't have a curriculum, they don't have a system in place, they are too worry about he said she said within their own staff.....it is really pathetic, I had to pull my child out of DC
