Fighting urge to pummel my 13 y.o. dd when she comes in the door

I REALLY feel your pain. My mother and I went through the exact same thing when I was 13. My mother locked me out of the house, took the door off my room and literally threw all my things out after being gone from home all night. It is a cry out for attention. Maybe she is having problems at school that she is not telling you about. Her behavior is definitely unacceptable but I believe that there is an underlying problem. She might eventually grow out of it (like I did) or possibly need the help of a therapist. Now that I am about to have my own child, I pray for a boy...
