The only thing bad about this is scoliosis as a hairstylist. That's going to be hard and lead to physical problems down the road.

On the other hand, I'm not sure why the parents went with such an extreme approach and wonder if there is a lot of info OP is not posting. And how difficult the dd is. It sounds like they want her out of the house and making her own money asap for some reason.
