OP, there are a ton of NOVA moms here who think UVA is the best thing since sliced bread. Definitely revisit both campuses. I personally preferred Vanderbilt’s campus and thought that the smaller student body and abundant resources would allow my pre-med DD to flourish. She ended up picking another school instead of Vanderbilt and UVA but both are great options. If money is an issue, UVA is a great choice.

There are quite a few people pointing out how stupid some of the over the top anti Vandy posts are. I’m one of them. And dismissing a bunch of people as “lady” or “Vandy mom” is not adding anything. UVA has limited appeal outside of DMV. Nice state school but not much more.
