He does get brought up almost every time there is a mass school shooting...which seems to be like 4 times a year now

Yes, everyone in Bradley Hills knows who he is and where he lives. However, they’re not going to discuss this on a public forum as it isn’t helpful to the case. FWIW, I’m really glad he’s locked up at the moment.

DS at a different MCPS HS told me some news he heard about this boy that is incredibly disturbing. I don’t know if it’s true but if it is, this is beyond juvenile services. He should be charged as an adult. I don’t know why the police aren’t releasing more facts about the investigation. It would quell the rumors if they are untrue. I do feel very sorry for his parents.

Any more information on this? We are in the neighborhood and are hoping that he doesn't have friends who are now going to carry things out on his behalf or inspire copycats.

Can we not speculate on here? Talk to one of your neighbors who has been informed by MCPD or MCPS regarding the current status. He’s locked up right now and not a threat.

Why not say share it on here? Kids are sharing it with their friends at neighboring schools. My child told me the other day her friend from Whitman told her that there was a mass shooting threat. What the schools/county/parents should look into is CNN posted (on instagram)the other day is there is a group of teens that are getting recruiting online and are sympathizing with mass shooters.

The child did not really associate with others. This is not a worry.

I'm glad there are still some decent people on the board. There's a reason why the police are withholding his name. He's a minor who needs serious medical help.

I think the families in Bradley Hills need to look at themselves and think what they could have done differently to help his boy before he got to this state. Was told by Whitman students that there were many who were unkind.

I was told two of his friends posted the threats to Whitman and Pyle, so he must have had some friends.

I live in the neighborhood. The student had been bullied and had a very hard time. And this is true of people who end up becoming mass shooters. The parents in our neighborhood know very well that the student is locked up and doesn’t pose further danger, but they’re still gossiping and think they’re entitled to information that they frankly aren’t entitled to. I really wish everyone would lay off this troubled kid and his families and let the legal process play out - and in the meantime talk to their own kids about what bullying, ostracizing, and exclusion can lead to. We all need to raise nicer kids.

The principal who would have been at Bradley Hills when he was there was nasty. Really mean and snide and punitive. She was difficult to work with, mean to staff and disrespectful of kids who needed a para and allowed the paras to complain about them and their parents. That should not have been tolerated. Really sad and strange behavior. She also would keep track of when outdoor recess items like balls and hula hoops were left out after recess and that class wouldn't be allowed to use them the next day. I almost laughed when I heard that shed had been burned down. Yes, people need to think about how lacking in compassion we are when a principal at an elementary school, who should be a role model, openly behaves this way.

I haven’t heard the same as you about the kid, but I’m not going to share what I’ve heard from friends who knew him since he is a minor. Just be careful with spreading rumors online. I will agree some parents at the school are acting entitled and over the top with their requests. They seem to want police security forever, and are not being rational.

The threats to Whitman following his arrest were from friends of his. DD said that she knew who these kids are and that they had been trying to tick actions off from sort of online club. Eg arson, graffiti/vandalism, violent threats. We did not have a great experience with the principal at BHES and I am sympathetic to kids who’ve experienced bullying. I hope he gets the help he needs.
