DP. Please go away. It seems you're the only one here with a Tnuck obsession. |
10:49 is "late at night" for you? This explains so much.

You literally sound insane. I posted a Tuckernuck dress recently (maybe I have even posted them more than once, I'm not sure, I have posted many dresses and I do like Tuckernuck) and I'm sure you assumed I was this (likely imaginary) person who has supposedly been "pushing Tnuck for about 3 years." Get a grip and stop going after people on the internet for posting a dress in response to a request for them. |
I like it too. I'm a fan of Boden. |
Not OP, but I'm tempted to try this dress. I'm afraid it might look a bit like a sack on me though; I guess it needs to be styled right. Appreciate the endorsement of the quality and fabric. |
Preach! I think it's time to report the anti-Tuckernuck shrew who is making a fool of herself and derailing the thread. |
You are crazy. I posted the tuckernuck link. I couldn’t sleep so was scrolling dcum, and trying to help the OP, unlike you. I did not post the endorsement of the dress. |
Oh, and I also posted the Boden link. Again, trying to help OP, unlike you. And I’m clearly not “shilling” for a brand. |
PP you're quoting - it's not too much fabric, at least past versions haven't been. I'm 5'8 with broad shoulders, so I can handle a decent amount of fabric, but it's definitely not a tent or anything. One caveat I should have mentioned about the fabric: it does shrink if put in the dryer. That's not necessarily a bad thing, depending on how you like the length, but it's an issue. |

First of all, I bet your legs look great-- at the very least OK. This is quite relatable to me as I have very bad scars on my knees and when I look at that dress I can't help but wonder if I could get away with wearing Capri length leggings underneith. I suppose it may look a bit jejune (my daughter had the Hannah Andersson tunics and leggings as kid) but on the other hand, I want to feel comfortable. I' not trying to look like younger than I am-- just wanting to keep my scars from being the first thing people notice about me. I also have to wear supportive shoes-- like Hokas. So I want to wear a sundress, but also be able to wear such shoes. I have a theory that sporty looking dresses like this Boden one could work with this-- at least better than more feminine dresses. Like the Hokas aren't quite so out of place with a dress like this? So--1) possible to wear leggings with this dress? and 2) possible to wear Hoka type shoes with this dress? |
My opinion- 1) no to the leggings - why don’t you try tshirt dresses that run to mid calf- here’s an example (Tuckernuck has one, too, but I’m afraid if I linked it I’d be accised of being a shill or a troll, haha): https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=886459002&vid=2&tid=onpl000078&kwid=1&ap=7&ds_agid=17394539939-&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=17394539732&gbraid=0AAAAAD_AT8smngmL_aLsmO9UzRsIFIyIP&gclid=CjwKCAjwhLPOBhBiEiwA8_wJHIgZ9x2cdHU9WrVviJIN0YVEtg7KRGoyk5Qo2wXiDZJtKtZKfjWZjBoCwLEQAvD_BwE 2) probably yes to the Hokas, but may depend on the Hoka style/color you have |
