a/B\C has not jaw precheck for I think 3 days now. At all. All SW flights and also American. D/E is basically business as usual. All other airlines. |
| I heard someone say 4.5 hours wait on Facebook |
At BWI A/B\C I don’t think it matters: expect to wait 4.4 -5 hours just in the security line ( this does not count checking bags or parking, etc.) Wish I were kidding. Many arrived 4 hours early today and missed their flights. |
That is accurate per our experience today. |
Get there 6 hours early. I am not kidding. 4 hours you will miss your flight. |
| That would mean arriving at 2am for my 8am Monday flight?! |
| Can you go through D or E and get to ABC? We are on Southwest of course |
No |
They are not offering precheck currently. |
This is correct. They don’t connect on the post security side. |
Be prepared, this means you cannot have checked luggage and make your flight since more airlines have rules about how early they will accept bags. 3.5 for southwest and they are not budging, even if the security line is over 3.5 hours. We stood in the security line for five hours today. |
| Just came back from BWI. Stood in line outside for just under 3 hours. Entered terminal and saw there the line just as long. Canceled everything and came back home. Could’ve tried to change to Monday to fly, but we were done at that point. |
Wow. |
| If you can switch to a different airline (United, American), or leave from IAD or DCA, I would… |
Second this. I have been through DCA the past two weeks and it's been a breeze. One of those trips was to Houston and IAH was a nightmare but the smaller older airport (Hobby) reportedly had no lines. Many of the people who were at the conference I attended were switching flights to get to a better airport - at least as of last week, United was offering that for no charge. |
