It’s always busy and crazy. We take our big trips in the summer.

You seem charming! Enjoy your week at home.

Oh do you mean our week at a mountain resort with spa, excellent dining, gorgeous views, horseback riding, shopping and art galleries? Thank you so much!

Your friends don’t even like you.

Curious whether they are also doing a lot of random stops at BWI. We went through DCA and the family in front of me had a kid pulled for a random screen, I got pulled for a random screen, and the dad in the family behind me got pulled for a random screen. The lines weren’t long but they weren’t running very smoothly because they were pulling so many people.

No random stops for us. But there was something new to me. Shortly before we got to the bag scanner they were having people walk 2 at a time and a police dog was weaving in and out every 2 people. That’s a first and I fly 3-4 times a year for my entire adult life.

No but they have a K9 dog and a line setup where they are making sure the dog is sniffing every passenger.

We have to assume the security isn’t as good as usual so they are implementing other things.

Does anyone have experience at Spirit bag drop this morning, and/or the terminal D checkpoint? Traveling with little kids early morning tomorrow and want to get a sense for the wait at terminal D specifically,

I heard airport personnel say that checkpoint and terminal were fine.

Apparently yes. It sounds completely normal over there which is extremely irritating and hard to understand.

A few neighbors wrote on the neighborhood list serve that they were waiting for over 3 hours today at security (BWI). This is just ridiculous. Both IAD and DCA seem to be functioning normally. Not sure why BWI is dysfunctional.

It’s the higher callout rate for TSA. I can’t explain why. But at BWI 80% of TSA agents called out today according to employees here.

They used to do this quite often at Dulles. Haven’t seen it for awhile but I use the West checkpoint now.

There’s officially an evening flight backup. Lines out the door. May the odds be ever in our favor…

What is the best time of day right now for lines?

Is precheck bad at BWI too? Sunday 8:30pm flight - tomorrow evening. Now saying to get there 4 hours early!
