| Getting out at 12:30 is cutting it close. With every child on a laptop or iPad why not go virtual on emergency weather days. |
' My kid will get out a lot later than 12:30. Yes they are cutting it too close and IDK why they don't do virtual. Prob people would yell and scream about that too. |
Because not every kid has an iPad or laptop. All first graders and Kindergarteners don’t have one. |
|
That cuz the crazy ant tech crowd lobbied against 1:1
They are still at it too. They don’t want any kids to get their own computers at any age They are loud too |
The latest dismissals are out by 2, with busses done by 2:45. They’ll all be home before the front gets here. |
| What about Parks and Rec classes? |
Already a tornado watch now |
As of right now, they are on as long as they are not in APS buildings. The community centers that are integrated with schools (TJ, etc.) are scheduled separately and have been open when schools are closed this year. If you have swim, they do close the pool for lightning. |
I guess you should go get your kid early. |
it's not about one kid, it's about the safety of all |
Thanks for your concern, yes I did do that because no thanks to APS, he would have been outside at 2:30-2:45 walking from bus stop and it's already bad out there. |
Is it dangerous or is it raining? |
New poster -what our kids were just sent out in was incredibly dangerous. Completely reckless to not hold the buses that dispatched from HB at 1:50. |
Oh gee, sorry to hear that. This could have been avoided with a 3 hour early release instead of 2. Insane call to just do 2 hours and then release them right in the middle of the mess. I mean it works out if you go to a school that releases early but what about the later release schools? |
Where I am had a brief downpour, no wind. Did you have wind? |
