Even if we had a government which was compelled to do whatever Netanyahu told it to do, which is debatable, you would still want that government to have the slightest of predictive ability to figure out what might happen afterwards, and they’re not even capable of that. You don’t want Susie Wiles leading a brainstorming session on how to reduce gas prices, just like we didn’t want Jared Kushner googling how to find PPE at the beginning of the pandemic.

This war is going to last 3 years and gas prices will reach $7 a gallon.

Oh and no EVs will be allowed to be sold.

I know we'll all pay for this in the price of goods but there are few things that hit MAGA where it hurts as much as elevated gas prices. My MAGA family members watch the pump like hawks.

I hate Trump and I hate this war but if this makes people get rid of their ridiculous huge trucks and SUVs, that's one good result.

Higher gas prices will mean more money flowing to Russia. Something else to consider.

“ Kuwait says it has implemented a precautionary reduction in crude oil production and refining following the ongoing attacks by Iran against Kuwait and “Iranian threats to safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.”

Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, the state oil company, said the move was part of its “risk management and business continuity strategy”.

That’s certainly going to raise oil prices further and may lead to shortages.

Except Detroit has stopped making anything else.

This. Closing the straights and bombing the petrol fields in the middle east give Russia more cash money to fight Ukraine and support Iran. Because the US loosened sanctions on Russian oil. WTF.

Wonder how much the price of oil has gone up in China given than Iran and Venezuela were 17% of China's supply.

China has a year's worth of oil reserves. And China loves their EVs.

And unfortunately Americans prefer to drive Super Dutys and Suburbans.

Oil is a commodity. The price rise for everyone unless the oil is coming from a country under sanctions(like Russia). Then it is bought for a discount of 15-25%. China buys a lot of Russian oil at 25% discount.

Here is their oil supply. Notice they are receiving Venezuela oil still.

Top Oil Suppliers to China (Approx. 2024-2025 Data)
Russia: Largest supplier, ~2.17 million barrels per day (bpd) (2024).
Saudi Arabia: ~1.5 - 1.6 million bpd.
Iran: ~1.1 - 1.9 million bpd (often mislabeled/hidden in customs data).
Iraq: ~1.1 - 1.3 million bpd.
Malaysia: Significant transshipment hub for Iranian oil, ~31B in value (2025).
Brazil: ~6% of total imports.
Angola: ~5% of total imports.
Venezuela: ~2-6% (often labeled as other origins)
