I saw a guy in line with at least 8 big gas cans. There were more but I couldn’t count.

Some morons are going to keep full gas can in their car or in their basement. TV stations should run PSA on the dangers of storing both full and empty cas cans in car and in home.

Looks like there won’t be relief from gas and oil shortages:

Jillian Ambrose, The Guardian
The US-Israeli ceasefire with Iran is unlikely to lead to a swift exit for the hundreds of oil and gas tankers trapped in the Gulf, according to shipping experts.

One seafarer who is aboard an oil tanker stranded behind the strait of Hormuz told the Guardian that shipping companies would require more certainty before they attempt to transit the strait.

“We’re at anchor, near dozens of loaded tankers. No one has moved an inch,” they said.

The seafarer said that bulk carriers, loaded with dry bulk such as cars and containers, had begun to move towards the Gulf but that major shipping companies would be unlikely to move oil and gas tankers without the go-ahead from insurance companies.

“No reputable company, with any links to EU countries, will risk moving without Lloyds and major insurers saying that they can,” they said.

“Transiting the strait will require more certainty; insurers will need to agree to insure these cargoes and there would need to be a better understanding of how to pay “toll fees” to a country which is still officially sanctioned.”

It will take several days before the impact of the truce on shipping becomes clear, according to Torbjorn Soltvedt, an analyst at risk intelligence company Verisk Maplecroft.

“Before the war, daily transits through the strait of Hormuz exceeded 100 ships per day and any increase from the trickle of ships currently passing the strait is likely to be gradual,” Soltvedt said.

“Two weeks will not be enough to clear the backlog even if there is a marked increase in traffic.”

Also, you know, boats can't cross until the cease fire at least starts, and it hasn't, thanks to our Israeli friends in Lebanon busy being the most moral army in the world.

Gas is $6.50 in CA.

I dont care if it goes to $10. Israel cannot be killing innocent unarmed people with impunity every time the US tries to off ramp. Enough is enough.

Scenes in Beirut are horrific. These people have no regard for human life other than their own.

Iran will have to force gas to $7-$8 to stop the US and Israel. Trump has no intention of stopping this war.

Buckle up every buddy. The pain is coming.

Iran Attacks Saudi Arabia's East-West Oil Pipeline
Saudi Arabia's East-West Pipeline, a critical artery bypassing the Strait of Hormuz, was reportedly hit in an Iranian drone attack on Wednesday, Reuters has reported. According to the report, a pumping station along the 1,200 km pipeline was struck by a drone early morning on Wednesday. Prior to the attack, the pipeline was pumping at its emergency capacity of 7 million barrels per day (bpd) to bypass the shuttered Strait of Hormuz.

The strike occurred just hours after a U.S.-Iran ceasefire announcement, which has so far failed to halt regional hostilities.

The East-West pipeline has been serving as Saudi Arabia's primary remaining export outlet since the war began in late February, with roughly 5 million bpd of crude exported via the Red Sea port of Yanbu.

Weird because in France (I watch their news), gas prices fell today for the first time since the start of the war.

France is implementing targeted financial relief to combat soaring petrol prices caused by Middle East tensions. Key measures include €50 million in subsidies for transportation, farming, and fishing, along with "flash fuel loans" of up to €50,000 for small firms to manage cash flow. These initiatives target hard-hit sectors directly. That’s why the price went a bit lower temporarily.

The USA does produce some of its own oil, but guess what? We are selling it to other countries. There is literally an armada of tankers headed our way to get the oil.
We are headed for shortages, as well.
