Sunday snow = Monday closure/disruption?

Yes I’m aware-but why did McPS put it as a makeup day on March 20 if it had no intention of using it? And why isn’t it using April 15? That random Wednesday?

Are they just hoping to have a waiver reducing the number of days they are required to teach?

Waiver was denied, but MCPS in its insistence to be at the bottom of the Maryland school districts in instructional time, is trying again to get the 180 days waived by the legislature. MCPS is a special kind of incompetent.

We are on that rain/snow line but most models are showing 2-4in with potentially a bit more upcountry. That’s easily a day off in this area. I think the weather will hope them reopen on time on Tuesday, which they are going to be strongly motivated to do.

Anne Arundel County already passed the same house bill MCPS is hoping passes. Try and keep up.

And Anne Arundel County converted some of their half days to full days. What is MCPS saying they would do to mitigate the damage? Nothing.
