If you bother to read past the headline and look at the details, it's far too early to be certain about anything. It's more of a "heads up" in advance not an actual forecast this far out.

I don’t think we’ll actually get snow as they are predicting so far out. If we get snow, I bet it’s a dusting. Even if it’s a few inches, MCPS will feel pressure to open given the days missed so far and the parent outrage. I think they’ll delay at most unless it’s an ice event or the roads can’t be cleared at all.

It’s not good policy to make safety decisions based on “parent outrage” or “days missed so far.” I’m over the snow, too, and I agree this may not even materialize. But they need to make decisions based on the actual road conditions.
