Even more reason Monday and Tuesday should’ve been make up days.
McPS has multiple makeup days it’s opting not to use. March 20, April 15. Why?
March 20th is Persian New Year, the first day of Spring! It’s a holiday celebrated by many groups of people, not just Persians.
March 20 is also the end of Ramadan.
Yes I’m aware-but why did McPS put it as a makeup day on March 20 if it had no intention of using it? And why isn’t it using April 15? That random Wednesday? Are they just hoping to have a waiver reducing the number of days they are required to teach?
Waiver was denied. They just prefer keeping teachers and students in school until almost July to using spring make-up days for whatever inexplicable reason.
Waiver was denied, but MCPS in its insistence to be at the bottom of the Maryland school districts in instructional time, is trying again to get the 180 days waived by the legislature. MCPS is a special kind of incompetent.
Anne Arundel County already passed the same house bill MCPS is hoping passes. Try and keep up.
