And of course we don’t need resource officers or police in the schools because that is more dangerous 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
Shame on Montgomery County for continuing to destroy things. Make our kids feel safe in school and stop worrying about discrimination.

I don't think a single police officer in the school would have prevented the shooting. It might improve the response but without a comprehensive plan, one person alone cannot stop a school shooter from bringing a gun into the school and harming someone.

What’s the story behind parents against metal detectors in our schools? Seems like a no-brainer, baseline to make sure weapons aren’t making it into our schools.

If we can get rid of weapons getting in the hands of basically anyone who wants them because of the 2nd amendment, then we need to police the reach of those weapons where this is NO business for them. Wtf.

This is way too close to home.

Happy to hear. What were the police in the school before the shooting . While it won’t prevent a shooting it would help prevent further damage or injuries by being on site to respond.
I’m not saying they will prevent things like this happening but definitely would help protect the other staff/students from any additional injuries by being there

would shooters be less likely to shoot others in the school if there were cops walking around in the school?

Well, it doesn't prevent things. It also doesn't always lessen the damage like we saw in Parkland.

A cop has never stopped a shooting mid shooting. SWAT or something similar usually does that but as you saw in Uvalde not so much.

We need to stop guns from being accessible to children. We need to stop guns being everywhere.

That has not prevented them from dealing with gun problems in PG County Schools though....
