We don’t need to keep talking about cancer. There’s no evidence she had it.

The original SNL — all Canadian show.

an X post by journalist Jeff Sneider sparked speculation, claiming that O’Hara had been receiving treatment for cancer. "I'm told that Catherine O’Hara was being treated for cancer at Mount Sinai in Toronto.”

Give it a week, and I’m sure someone will provide more details.

She looked ill 4 months ago and skipped most of the award circuit this year. It’s a very likely explanation.

She was always a highlight in Christopher Guest films my favorite being Best in Show.

Such a loss! Very talented. My first thought is always I hope it was quick without much suffering. I truly hope this wasn't cancer. I have watched so many people suffer these prolonged awful deaths. It's such a blessing when someone passes quickly without suffering though she's too young.

RIP Catherine. Just watched Best in Show. She was such a unique performer because she was an incredibly talented comedienne but also a really good actress. It made her characters unforgettable. I truly think her work in Schitt’s Creek was genius level. Masterful. Then, to see her parlay that into more dramatic roles in The Last of Us and The Studio was exciting - I would have loved to see her evolve even more. Truly a loss, but she left so much to enjoy.

It is very sad. May she rest in peace.

It is also sad because there is now no way there will be a Shitts Creek movie or further shows. They were holding out the possibility of the right idea came about. So feel a little empty that it is really done.

I will rewatch it for a 3rd time now. Favorite show. I’ll miss Moira and was hoping that the rumors of a season 2 came true. There can’t be season 2 without Moira. So so sad.

Probably is cancer but so gross of you all to be speculating about it so much. May she rest in peace.
