TMZ reporting Cathering O'Hara dead at 71

Oh no! I love her. So sad. 71 seems young. I wonder what happened.

I just started rewatching schitt’s creek. She’s incredible.

I didn't realize Moira was the mom from Home Alone. I'm terrible with pop culture.

But wow - what a talent. What a career and iconic impact. A real loss.

So sad. She was one of my favorite actresses of all time. A true comic genius with a unique charisma.

That’s my assumption too, a private battle with cancer. My mom is the same age and also battling cancer.

Don’t take your parents/older relatives health for granted in their early 70s because it can change on a dime RIP

I love her in everything, especially in Best of Show!

I'm so sad. She is one of my absolute favorites.

I just watched her in the Studio with my kid when he was home from college.

Wow.

She didn’t look good at all in those pictures posted here so I guess a private cancer battle is right.

I’m so sorry to read this. My 11 year old has adored her in Beetlejuice and Home Alone. O’Hara is an amazing talent, her performance in Best in Show was my favorite.

Came to say the same thing. So many women in their 60s and 70s dying too young of cancers. But we don't know if she had cancer or not.

I am looking at her pictures and in her later pictures her face has completely changed. There is a change in her face that is beyond aging. It is a distortion. A perpetual grimace.

I am getting treated for cancer and there was a time that my face had that grimace during chemo. Now that I have started to feel better...my face has also recovered. It is not a gauntness or thinness. It is truly a distortion.

I’m glad you’ve recovered. This is so sad.
