Unexpected, cool stuff in nature. Like happening upon a neat ice formation, or a not-normally seen critter. The periodical cicadas in 2021 brought me great joy.

Also, planning a trip, taking the trip with my family, and then going through the photos we took later.

Traveling. Even just driving to my next destination makes me happy. Hate the plane ride, though.

I get what you’re saying. Just interpret it as joy. Simple joy is enough.

- seeing my kiddos succeed academically beyond our wildest dreams and oldest getting into a top university;

- my spouse getting a promotion recently at work;

- 2 wonderful and loving rescue kitties;

- successfully moving aged parent into assisted living, where she’s happy in her 90s and adapting well;

- exercising and staying fit;

- staying involved in fellowship at our Christian church and studying scripture.

Get a bird bath! I can't tell you how much joy it brings me watching them splash around! Your cat will probably enjoy watching them from the window as well.
