I think people here are reacting to preserve a marriage. And OP is blameless. That's the difference. You like to brag about something crappy you did that could potentially still destroy a marriage and friendship. And you are directly responsible.

Social sanctioning generally works towards keeping people in legitimate, recognized relationships. Because illicit fun can be extremely destructive to the primary relationships. This should be obvious to you, Mr. I Banged My Fiancée's Best Friend.
