Naming of New High School.

Yes, I'm super frustrated that our choices are Western and Skyview (sounds like a cartoon). Bring back Oak Hill, it's what the community wants.

And, while the community wants a community school, it would appear that some in FCPS leadership do not. Maybe, they listened to the people for mocking us for using that name. Look at a map and see where we are.

Welcome to FCPS. Where a total waste is a moderately good result because the moist likely alternative is something that is actively bad.

It can still go sideways if someone gets triggered by westerns.

My sources say that western was 8th on the survey. However that is what Reid selected. She asks everyone to do this survey but will always do whatever she wants. Just like with the boundary items. Just wait to you see the boundaries of the new school. They will be shocking and have some schools under 1700 and the new school at 2100

Dictator Reid at it again. She must be in control of everything. This one is pretty minor but continues to ignore others and her decisions are hurtful to learning and student growth.

Is it just me, but shouldn't they have taken the top suggestions from the Open House at the school and used those?
Instead, she chose Western and a bunch of astronauts.

Does she have any clue? Just because we live near a museum does not mean we all want astronaut related names. This is a suburban area of families that just want a good high school experience for their kids.

Many people wanted Oak Hill, Dulles, Floris, Sully, etc.

They were not even on the survey questionnaire.
