Will those who work/worked for ICE be employable in the future?

I hope not.

I work at DHS (not ICE) and I understand the sentiment, but it's important to remember that even ICE, even in the current administration, has a civil rights office and has people working providing medical care, for instance. You don't want all of those people who actually care and have been in the job for years to leave because they are worried about future employment.

Also we are now weeding out MAGA as well we are privately held so yes we absolutely will not hire MAGA .

If you are that stupid and anti American at this point to believe one thing that comes out of the Trump Administration you are not capable of being employed.

Well, if you have employees in DC, you are violating the law, and being a private company won’t save you.

This is a great point. Or the attorneys in their general counsel, who may be trying to ensure they stay within the bounds of the law. You want these people to stay.

Yes, I will. They are just doing their jobs to make a living.

They should be respected as any police officers.

The people who are joining ICE within the last year are all proud boys and other right wing domestic terrorists. There's zero training and they are out on the streets acting like SS thugs.

100%

They have to hope for some preference in federal hiring as I don't think any private sector hiring manager is dumb enough to not put two and two together.

I have a distant relative who is sadistic and was a complete f up growing up. He abuses people and animals. He has moved up quickly in the TSA. He's also uneducated, ignorant, believes insane conspiracies, and is an extreme rwnj and gun nut. He's dangerous.

I can say that I was in a recruiting position for a little while in recent years. Due to the nature of this field, I encountered number of resumes from political appointees from the 1st Trump administration. Those were always set aside and ignored. I can’t imagine what the future holds for anyone serving in this administration. I guess they could go work at some dorky think tank.

You extend that same courtesy to Germans in the SS?

Don't be stupid. Either you're FOR brutalizing innocent civilians, or you're AGAINST. Being AGAINST means you don't hire the armed goons. They could have taken an immigrant's job in construction, couldn't they? They could have waited tables, delivered food, driven Ubers. Don't kid yourself. They wanted to be paid to brutalize other human beings. They LIKE it.

The comparison between ICE and the SS is absurd. When there are mass graves and smoke from crematoriums, you can try again.

It's a slippery slope. Do you really need smoke from crematoriums to know this?

Will my friend have an issue with future employment, any employment, because of time spent at ICE?

No. But most weren’t really employable before. That is part of the problem. It doesn’t exactly attract the best talent.

Explain to me how that is “bigotry” like o am five.

Consider they will all be hanged by the neck until dead, no.

What's your threshold for murders?

That’s the threshold for people comparing ICE agents it SS agents.

Truth makes you uncomfortable, I gather

They are just doing their job. Don’t blame them for that. Don’t like it? Vote them out of the office. Elections have consequences. Bit*hing here won’t make any difference and won’t change anyone’s mind. Dumba$$.

They really like it. MAGA doesn’t care about due process at all. They basically see any crime they don’t like as a capital crime and any extra judicial killing as “justified.”

That’s why they all immediately said “oh well she was harassing them.” Because to them, that means he was allowed to shoot her.
