Investigate the Stay to Play requirements for tournaments. The travel agencies throw in big mark ups! The Jeff Cup mark up for lodging is easily 30%. The Courtyard through 288 travel is $220 per night. But the same Courtyard on the Marriott Convoy website is only $150.

They should be offering a bulk room block discount, not a mark up! There are likely no laws for this aspect either. They could look at this too under the Larger Pay to Play Umbrella.
