There wre plenty of golfing lawyers in DC who would happily take this up pro bono. No way they are paying standard rate.

Bulldoze the entire thing and build a park everyone can use. Then it stays in the hands of citizens.

He wants to build championship quality courses that will attract major tournaments to DC. What’s the issue?

The golfing lawyers don't want to see a professional quality course?

Of course, it's pro bono. This is where kids in DC learn to golf. This is where First Tee plays. These are public courses serving a public good.

Lots of people who play at RCPTC come from all over DC, mostly from WOTP and Conn Ave, and from lower Montgomery County. You should resist the urge to chime in on things you are clueless about.

+1 These are some of the few public athletic areas in the NW half of DC. Its where my now adult kids learned to play golf in the summers, where all the little kids played soccer and tennis.

The golf courses never belonged to the District.
