Less holiday decorations this year?

Our neighborhood seems more decorated than usual and it makes me so happy when I drive home after work.

Yes energy bills are higher than ever but putting up some Christmas lights isn’t going to greatly increase them.

We found out last year it cost us an extra $100 in electricity to put up incandescent icicle lights on our gutters. It's the first time I have seen a bump that large on our Christmas electricity bill.

This year I only had enough energy to put out one led lighted decoration outside, so hopefully we will save some money.
