Less holiday decorations this year?

Am I the only one noticing it? I feel like there’s a lot less houses decorated for the holidays this year compared to years past.

Everything is down: people's income, the economy, jobs, joy, everything is muted and dour

We put out lights on the door but not on the bushes yet. Debating doing it at all. For some reason I am feeling less festive this year, not sure why.

I think there were more Halloween decorations than Christmas decorations in our neighborhood this year.

Yes that’s what I’m seeing too. People went all out for Halloween but Christmas seems dull this year

It’s really cold out. That was why we didn’t.

Weather and Thanksgiving was a week later. Less inflatables is a good thing IMHO.

It’s still early. We’ll be setting out everything this weekend

Halloween was less decorated in our neighborhood and this time feels the same. Though I wonder if Thanksgiving being late has just given people less time. It's felt super busy even more than prior years for us.

I have zero holiday spirit. I don’t even want to put up a tree. 2025 has sucked beyond belief! Worse than the pandemic.

I posted at 3:24am and am up again. I’m also not sleeping well thanks to menopause, this just isn’t high on my priority list!

Not really. I’m sure more will come up this weekend.
