Did Sean Duffy: don't wear pajamas when coming to airport or when flying

Add this to the many common-sense positions that Democrats feel compelled to oppose, and which will make more moderates think Democrats are crazy.

Being pro personal freedom is a Democratic position, I guess. Ladies and gentlemen, behold the Conservative party of living your life their (very rigidly defined) way or the highway!

How very MAGA of you to not understand that it’s about the lack of substance and seriousness as well as the hypocrisy and condescension. It’s not actually about pajamas.

Being a frumpy, disheveled slob in pajamas isn’t against the law, it’s just low rent.

its a common sense position that the government should dictate, beyond "decency" what a person can or cannot wear? Please show your notes on that claim.

I’m a moderate, and I think it’s crazy for a regime that has spent the last 10 years attacking cultural norms and societal expectations to turn around and demand that we all start observing cultural norms and expectations. Sorry, that train has sailed.

Unrelated to that, I think people should dress better for traveling and more importantly behave better while traveling. I personally think travel is too cheap and it draws out all sorts of trashy people.

Club lounge and first class.

Looking like a model is more important than legal talent (see Lindsay Halligan). Being overweight is a fatal sin if you’re a reporter. How you wear your medals is more important than why you received them (see Mark Kelly).

Appearance of other people. Trump is free to be a fat slob, and JD can walk around with a stained white shirt.

Right. Instead of preaching about what to wear, they should focus instead on what they are spouting out of their filthy mouths.

Yep.

He doesn't talk about how big the seats were then does he?

Seriously. If he wants passengers to go back to 1960s standards of dress, then he needs to talk to the airlines about going back to the 1960s standards for seat size/leg room and service. Pretty telling he's lecturing us while not saying a thing about the airlines.

Did he say he wanted to go back to 1960s standards of dress? Did he say that smoking will be back?

Grow the fook up. Don't get on a plane in pajamas. It's the fn simple.

Right. It needs to be more expensive so only highly refined people like you can partake.

God forbid a poor get to travel to visit family. Just stay home, poors!

Or you know, just behave! Have you seen the people on youtube screaming at gate agents and having to be removed from the airport by security? They are always wearing skimpy clothes with too much skin showing, often have tattoos and otherwise just look trashy.

And lots more like these. I don't want to travel with these people.

Agreed. There are rude, gross people in every income bracket. Money does not correlate to class.

Nobody’s saying they are going to arrest people who wear pjs, take their shoes off, or fart on airplanes. But aren’t you glad that somebody in charge is at least asking people to behave in ways that promote civility? Or should we just be happy when people are behaving like 3-year-olds?

how does dressing comfortably when you are traveling create incivility?

This administration is the biggest micromanager we’ve ever seen. How about Duffy focus on hiring and training more affix control and improving morale?

If he wants people to be civilized why did he just cut the fee that airlines are supposed to pay passengers when they’re late? I bet that calmed down a lot of people.

I used to wear my tux on planes but got tired of my top hat getting crushed in the overhead bin.
