Yes I wrote about this in one of the thread about not having health care. Everyone single person is susceptible to cancer and it can happen out of nowhere. I saw so many young people with cancer as a resident (sometimes younger than me at the time). It makes me understand that nothing NOTHING is promised.

RFK is awful. Using her platform to point this out is necessary.

Also, she's dying. All the more reason to say what you need to say while you can.

She's JFK's only granddaughter. She'll attract attention no matter what.

Nope. Caroline has two daughters and one son.

This. Why doesn’t Rose count as JFK’s granddaughter? I’m confused.

What are you talking about? She does.

Rose, Tatiana, and Jack are all the grandchildren of Jackie and JFK.

I think people forget about Rose because she’s stayed away from the spotlight and isn’t active on social like Jack.

Even with health care ….Ive has symptoms for many years. All my doctors and specialists said I was making it up despite clear evidence on ct and other tests. Only one doctor decided to investigate and help me to the right specialists where I am finally testing. I’ve suffered unnecessary for so many years because of lazy doctors who should find a new profession.

Yes normal. Your cbc, etc were probably within normal range so you don’t remember. I had 3 deliveries, and one had abnormal bloodwork afterwards, which led to a battery of other tests.

What an incredible voice she has. Does not hold back. I'm sorry her kids will lose her and us too. I'd 100% be friends with such a cool human being.

Are these test included on the blood tests we get during a yearly physical?

Everything depends on your doctor and health care. They aren’t for ours. Our doctors and clinic will keep you on meds for years and not res test nor test if you express concerns.

You were lucky. I’ve had tons of abnormal tests and told I was fine and its bad.

"For my whole life, I have tried to be good, to be a good student and a good sister and a good daughter, and to protect my mother and never make her upset or angry. Now I have added a new tragedy to her life, to our family’s life, and there’s nothing I can do to stop it."

I admire the decency and social conscience with which Caroline's children were raised.

Losing a child is the worst. My heart goes out to them.

NP. A complete blood count would show if you have elevated white blood cells. That’s often part of a physical. But that wouldn’t detect all cancers at early stages. Different tests detect different cancers, especially at early stages.

So why do women after childbirth get the "different" test? Not arguing with you or with the practice, just asking out of curiosity respectfully!

Women after childbirth do get the complete blood count which counts all types of blood cells—not because they’re looking for cancer, but rather because they are worried about the impact of blood loss. Her cancer is a blood cancer that just happens to also detected early through the complete blood count because it causes very elevated white blood cells.

Women after childbirth do not get other cancer specific tests because there’s nothing about childbirth that makes you higher risk. For example, a mammogram is the best way to detect breast cancer and they don’t get that. They don’t inspect your skin for skin cancer. They don’t give you imaging scans to detect brain tumors.

I keep thinking there has to be some treatment, some clinical trial to help here. I know 2 people with AML who made it. I'm hoping for her.

That’s what I thought. I was confused by the poster who claimed that Tatiana is JFK’s only granddaughter. Since Rose and Tatiana are both Caroline’s daughters, I didn’t understand the logic of claiming that only Tatiana counted as JFK’s granddaughter.

Yes, but multiple Myeloma is a cancer that happens very quickly, not one that you have for years and don't know it. Blood cancers are picked up right away. I have no idea if the timing was coincidental or if the pregnancy triggered the cancer, but she probably didn't have it for very long before it was discovered.
